Climate Feedback Advisor Richard Somerville wins AGU Climate Communication Prize


Climate Feedback’s Advisor Prof. Emeritus Richard Somerville is the 2015 recipient of the American Geophysical Union’s Climate Communication Prize. This Prize highlights “the importance of promoting scientific literacy, clarity of message, and efforts to foster respected and understanding of science-based values as they relate to the implications of climate change.”

Besides his research Prof. Somerville’s broader interests include all aspects of climate, including climate science outreach and the interface between science and public policy.

Prof. Somerville works frequently with the media on climate and environmental issues. He is the author of the popular book, The Forgiving Air: Understanding Environmental Change.
